During Maynard Dixon Country 2008 at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, we have reserved the auditorium at Valley High School in Orderville to listen to the fine words of our special guest , Dr. Charles Movalli. His lecture will most certainly include some of the following:

Painterly painters believe that an abbreviated style is best suited to capturing elusive effects. But although they consciously strive to develop a rapid execution, their detractors often criticize this characteristic, dismissing their work as little more than sketches. (Charles Movalli)

The Maynard Dixon Country 2009 event has been scheduled for August 26-30, 2009. Participating artists will be announced during February 2009. Details of the event, along with links to local accommodations and more will be available on the Maynard Dixon Country page of this site. Of special interest this year will be the possible documentary by a major network.

Watch for several new surprises for the 2009 show.
